Bishop E. Devon Phelps was born and raised in Marietta GA where he attended Pilgrim Baptist Church as a child under the leadership of Pastor Lenton Mitchell Jr. During his early young adult years Bishop Phelps has humbly served as an armor bearer for Pastor Rogers Murray (Victory Family Life Church) and Bishop Keith Young Sr. (Vision for Souls Family Worship Center).

God gave Bishop Phelps in the spring of 2011 a mandate to birth a ministry. In the fall of 2011, the former Jehovah Jireh World Ministries now New Faith Christian Church was established. Within the first year over 200 members joined...hundreds more were saved...a television ministry (RHEMA WORD) was launched. Within the second year another location in Rome GA was birthed along with the International Fellowship of Christian Churches where Bishop Phelps serves as the Presiding Bishop. Within his fourth year in ministry, Bishop Phelps successfully launched his third location in Stockbridge, GA. Bishop Phelps is a duly consecrated Bishop having a dual line of Apostolic Succession, he is also a proud member of the Joint College of Bishops led by Archbishop J. Delano

Being called into ministry as a child, Bishop Phelps has a tremendous testimony as God has gracedhim to experience the true “Hard Knocks of Life” and bring him back into the Kingdom of God for such a time as this. Bishop Phelps possesses the personality, ability, and apostolic anointing to reach the masses as he connects easily with those that have experienced challenges and obstacles in their
life. Bishop Phelps has a great call and even greater determination to “Answer The Call” God has placed on his life as the Lord has raised Bishop E. Devon Phelps to be a global leader in todays church. Bishop Eusebio Phelps is blessed to be favored in ministry and matrimony with one of the world’s best-kept secrets, Lady Laurona Phelps. They are leading examples to Christian living for their six children: Samuel, Amanuel, Daisha, Eusebio II, Christian and Mia. A pastor, a husband, a father, but most of all he is humbled just to call himself a SERVANT of the Most High God.

Elder Jordan came to Calvary after many years as min- ister at Greater St. John COGIC in Mansfield, OH, under the leadership of Bishop Walter E. Jordan. He was the leader of Greater St. John’s Joel’s Place Addictions Min- istry and an integral part of the music ministry as both choir director and praise and worship leader. As State Minister for Ohio North First Ecclesiastical Jurisdiction,
a post from which he recently retired, he served nearly three decades. His insight into the biblical role of the ministry of music has led him to conduct numerous mu- sic workshops and as a highly sought after evangelist, Elder Jordan has traveled extensively throughout the state of Ohio and the country. He studied at the Ohio State University and the McCreary Center for African American Religious Studies and is a graduate of the William Morgan James Ministerial Institute as well as a member of the National Adjutancy of the Church of God in Christ. Professionally, he worked for General Motors 32 years as an Employee Assistance Representa- tive. And all this while being, first and foremost, a devoted husband to our beloved First Lady Karin Jordan and loving father to Jasmine and Gregory Jr.

Today at Calvary, he has launched transformative initiatives to galvanize the church’s position at the cutting edge of God’s move of the Spirit. In 2009, Cal- vary’s first-ever Homecoming Weekend invited former members and friends back to the experience the invigorated church of their former years. April 2010 saw the beginning of Second Sunday Fire, a monthly revival service that continues to allow many throughout the city and state to experience an unforgettable, life-altering ex- plosion of the Holy Spirit. In August of the same year, Calvary celebrated its his- toric mortgage burning service, having paid off its new sanctuary. Most recently, Pastor Jordan led the overhaul of the church’s sound system, the first step in a campaign to build a 21-century media ministry complete with projection screens and broadcasting capabilities. Plans are also underway for the renovation of the church’s welcome center as well as the construction of the Dr. Richard Brown, Jr. Learning Center, a modern multi-purpose facility that will serve the growing needs of the church as well as community. With a fast expanding congregation, Pastor Jordan recently commissioned a real estate committee to secure land and property for the church’s inevitable physical expansion.
